19-20 October 2018 China National Peking Opera Company performed The Emperor and the Concubine and The Monkey King and the Crossroads Inn at the Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. Professor Ruru Li of the University of Leeds contributed an introduction to the performance programme
11 October 2018 Lisa Lu, the renowned actor, was invited to discuss her performing arts journey through over 60 years in both films and theatres, from Hollywood to Hong Kong, at the British Library
2017 Upon the completion of his six-month visit to the University of Leeds, Staging China visiting scholar, Professor Dongping Ran published (in Chinese) his contemplation on the role that Staging China has played in facilitating and promoting Sino-UK cultural exchanges in the field of theatre.
